Hosting and technical support

The website is looked after by our web agency WebXIO and runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in a data centre in Germany.

Page requests

To deliver the pages to you, the server processes technically necessary data such as your IP address. Requests to this website are not logged. Only in the event of a technical error, for example while the website is restarting, does the web server record the affected request including the IP address in an error log, which is deleted automatically after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

No cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage, neither for analytics nor for advertising.

Analytics (Matomo)

To understand how this website is used, we use Matomo on the server of our web agency WebXIO (matomo.webxio.at). Matomo runs without cookies and shortens IP addresses by the last two segments before storing them; pages viewed are also attributed to a visit using the shortened address only. The full IP address is never stored, so usage cannot be traced back to individual visitors. The usage data collected (e.g. pages viewed, audio samples and videos played, files downloaded from the press kit, time on page, browser type) stays on that server and is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in designing the website to meet visitors’ needs (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form

When you write to us via the contact form, we process your name, your email address, your subject, the event details and your message in order to answer your request. The message is delivered by email to the band’s mailbox (booking requests to booking@rocknbeatz.at, everything else to contact@rocknbeatz.at; both a service of Hetzner Online GmbH with servers in Germany), and you receive a confirmation at your email address. The emails are sent by the mail service of our web agency WebXIO, which logs the recipient, subject and delivery status of every email. Your message is not stored on the website itself.

To protect against spam, your browser solves a small computing task when you send the form (proof of work, Cap.js). The task is set and checked by a server that WebXIO runs itself (captcha.webxio.at); the program files it needs come from this website. No cookies are set, no data is passed on to third parties and no profiles are created.

We keep your request only as long as we need it to deal with it, for one year at most, and delete it earlier on request. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. for a booking request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Audio samples

The audio samples are played from our own server. No data is stored and no data is passed on to third parties.

Videos

The live videos in the press kit are also played from our own server. No data is stored and no data is passed on to third parties.

Gig dates

Our server loads the dates from the band’s calendar; your browser does not connect to any calendar service. With “Add to my calendar” you can save a date: “Google Calendar” opens a Google page, “Apple / Outlook” downloads a calendar file from our own server. The “Directions” link opens Google Maps.

Fonts and external links

The fonts on this website are loaded from our own server; there is no connection to Google Fonts or other font providers. The website does not embed any content, advertising or analytics services from third parties. Links to Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and Google Calendar only open when you click them; from then on, the respective provider is responsible for processing your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. To exercise them, email contact@rocknbeatz.at or write to the address above. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
